Bombay 1908-1912, Principal of Poona College of Agriculture 1922-1932, also director of Ganeshkhind Botanical Garden (fruit exp. sta); director of agriculture Bombay 1932-1936, Agricultural Commissioner with the Government of India at New Delhi 1939-1943, specialized in agronomy, plant breeding, grassland improvement and soil conservation.
