Triana, José \[Jéronimo\] (1834-1890), Columbian botanist; after studying medicine and being active as a journalist connected as botanist, from 1850-1855, with the Colombian chorographic commission (Comisión Corográfica) exploring the region between Bogota and the Venezuelan border; working on a Flora colombiana, from 1857 in France, at first with J.E. Planchon in Montpellier, later in Paris.
