Fitzp.* \[standard form in IPNI: *T.J.Fitzp.*\] #### Note Fitzpatrick's wife, Mary Frances (née Linder) (fl. 1886-1933), also a botanist and "bibliomaniac", completed the first post-graduate thesis at the State Univ. of Iowa in 1886. It was entitled, "A brief description of nine species of *Hepaticae* found in the *vicinity* of *Iowa City*" (66 p. hand-written text and *21 pl*. (i.e. pencil line-draw.)).
