Toepfer in the Silesian exchange Club 1881-1882; collected in the Austrian coastal regions 1881, in Troas 1883, in Puerto Rico 1884-1887 and St. Thomas 1887; from then on collecting mainly in Greece, the Middle East, Armenia and Iran. **Abbreviated name**: *Sint.* \[standard form in IPNI: *Sint.*\] #### Herbarium and types [[Collection LD|LD]] (see Törje 1968). Sintenis plants were distributed in various ways and under various titles. Dobrudscha material is especially at [[Collection K|K]]; Cyprus material was distributed by Keck; West Indian material distributed by Krug and Urban, first set at [[Collection B|B]] (mainly destr.; dupl. extant) (for extensive details on the location of duplicates and special collections see Urban 1902). The Eastern mediterranean and Middle Eastern plants are widely distributed.
