Kl. 1910; active floristic botanist; specialist on *Salix*; longtime honorary collaborator at the Botanical Museum, Berlin. **Abbreviated name**: *Seemen* \[standard form in IPNI: *Seemen*\] #### Herbarium and types [[Collection B|B]] (rd 1892; mainly destr.); some material in [[Collection BHU|BHU]], [[Collection L|L]]. – Types of new *Salix* species may be in various herbaria, enumerated in *Salic. jap.* p. v-vii. – *Letters* at [[Collection G|G]]. #### Note Seemen's brother Hans von Seemen (b. 22 Nov 1836, d. 13 Nov 1909) was an active entomologist who also built up a (small) herbarium which went to the Preussische bot.
