Qu. **Abbreviated title**: *Fl. cub.* **Notes** AUTHORSHIP: Urban (1898) gives details on the history of publication of the *Flora cubana* explaining that the 1873 book is a reprint, published in parts, from a series of articles in *Anal. Acad. Ci. Habana, Rev. ci.* vols. 5, 1868 -9(app.), 1873. The title of the articles in the original journal publication makes it clear that Sauvalle is actually mainly editor and that the new taxa are to be attributed to Charles Wright (1811-1885), an opinion already held by Asa Gray (Sci. Pap. 2: 473). The new taxa are to be cited as C. Wright *in* F.A. Sauvalle. *Publ*.
