Düsseldorf through his close connections with most of Europe's established botanical gardens and botanists; died at Nice. **Abbreviated name**: *Salm-Dyck* \[standard form in IPNI: *Salm-Dyck*\] #### Herbarium and types Unknown. – Salm-Dyck's collection of living succulent plants at Schloss Dyck (near Neuss, Düsseldorf) was unrivalled at the time. Kümmel (1981) states that the collection of living plants survived until 1914, where as herbarium specimens were discarded shortly after Salm-Dyck's death. Clokie mentions "one or two specimens" presented to Haworth at [[Collection OXF|OXF]]. – *Letters* to M. van Marum at Teyler, F.A.W. Miquel at [[Collection U|U]], to D.F.L. von Schlechtendal at [[Collection HAL|HAL]], and to other botanists ca. 1810-1860 in various other European herbaria. #### Bibliography and biography ADB 30: 255-257 (E.
