Cuba* at Paris from 1836. **Abbreviated name**: *Sagra* \[standard form in IPNI: *Sagra*\] #### Herbarium and types Sagra's first collections, made mainly by himself, went to A.P. de Candolle and are at [[Collection G|G]]. Duplicates are in [[Collection FI|FI]] and [[Collection P|P]] (incl. [[Collection P|P]]-JU). The main Cuban herbarium, however, collected by Sagra and his collaborators, was brought to Paris by him for the preparation of the *Historia fisica*. The types of the phanerogams are in the Richard herbarium, which is now at [[Collection P|P]]. On A. Richard's death (1854) the Sagra Cuban collections had not yet been distributed. The next owner, however, the Comte de Franqueville, distributed duplicates. Drake del Castillo bought the Franqueville-Richard herbarium and presented it (for the greater part) to P. Most of the types of the phanerogams will therefore be found in the herbier général of P. The cryptogams went to Montagne and are at [[Collection PC|PC]]. – Other Sagra material (including the duplicates distributed by de Franqueville) is at [[Collection B|B]] (mainly destr.), [[Collection BR|BR]], [[Collection F|F]], [[Collection FI|FI]], [[Collection G|G]], [[Collection K|K]], [[Collection LE|LE]], [[Collection LUB|LUB]], [[Collection NY|NY]], [[Collection PH|PH]], [[Collection W|W]] and [[Collection Z|Z]]. #### Bibliography and biography BL 1: 225, 316; BM 4: 1780-1781; Bossert p. 345; Colmeiro penins. p. 202-203; CSP 3: 857, 6: 709, 8: 167-168, 10: 518; GF p. 74; Herder p. 57, 226, 363; Jackson p. 369, 370, 449; KR p. 4: 563 (and sub La Sagra); Langman p. 663; Lasègue p. 265; Lenley p. 357; LS 23491; MW p. 422; NI 1712-1714; PH 567; PR 7973, ed. 1: 8340-8342; Quenstedt p. 373; Rehder 5: 751; RS p. 139; TL-1/884, 1074, 1075, 1132-1134; TL-2/6241, 6242; Tucker 1: 617; Urban-Berl. 312, 390. #### Biofile - Aguayo, J., Mem.
