Parkinson* \[standard form in IPNI: *Parkinson*\] #### Drawings Sydney Parkinson was draughtsman on Cook's first voyage in the Endeavour (1768-1771). Copies*: NY, Teyler. – Parkinson mentions a number of new generic and specific names, mostly quite casually, with little or no descriptive material and clearly without the intention of publishing new scientific names. In a few cases it will be possible to argue that a name is validly published, but Merrill (1954) suggests to "reject most or all of them".
