The entire cabinet was sold to Czar Peter of Russia, 1717 and the herbarium (mostly of garden plants) is still at [[Collection LE|LE]]. Another herbarium collected in Holland about 1657, was acquired by Sir Hans Sloane, now at [[Collection BM|BM]] (Hortus siccus 111, 112). Some other Ruysch specimens are also at [[Collection BM|BM]]. #### Note Ruysch was mainly an human anatomist. He is often cited, however, because of his herbaria at BM and LE, and because he published Jan Commelijn's *Horti med. amstelod.* 1697-1701 (TL-2/1187).
