Jahrb. 4(4): 411. 1883. #### Composite works The Madagascar plants collected by Rutenberg were retrieved in various ways and came in the hands of Franz Georg Philipp Buchenau (1831-1906) at Bremen who published a series of papers *Reliquiae rutenbergianae* in which he and many other specialist authors described the collections (605 species, 5 new genera, 168 new species and varieties).
