Lang). – According to Kanitz (1865) and Ullepitsch (1884), Rochel sold his herbarium to King Johann of Saxony in 1841 against an annuity for life. #### Note
Rochel published his *Naturhistorische Miscellen* (1821), *Plantae Banatus rariores* (1828) and *Botanische Reise in das Banat* (1838) at his own expense and sold relatively few copies. When retiring from his position at Pest he burned the stocks, which accounts for their rarity (see Ullepitsch 1884). On the other hand Kanitz (no. 106) notes that copies of this work were still to be obtained from the Verein für Naturkunde, at Presburg (Bratislava).

*Publ*.: 1820. *Copy*: G. – Like Pritzel we have seen only the engraved title page Lieferung 1 with 26 "Umrisse" printed around the text as cited above. A note in Flora (5: 160. 1822) states that the *Pflanzen-Umrisse*, because of the lack of subscriptions, will come out in "Hefte". The editor of Flora had seen a few plates; these may have been the originals of which he speaks in Flora 3: 685. 1820. It is not clear how many plates, if any (except the front page of Lieferung I, were ever published. The first announcement for subscription ("Pränumerations, Anzeige") was published by Rochel in Flora 3: 601-504. 1820. Kanitz (no. 106) states that this work was never published.
