#### Eponymy
*Pocockiella* G.F. Papenfuss (1943). *Note*: *Pocockia* Seringe ex A.P. de Candolle (1825) was probably named for Rev. Richard Pococke (1704-1765), English-born bishop, who earlier in life travelled and collected plants in Egypt and Arabia. *Pocockia* J.K. Lentin et G.L. Williams (1973) and *Pocockipites* D.C. Bharadwaj (1974) were named for S.AJ. Pocock (1928-x) Canadian geologist and palynologist.
