Firenze (per la Società tipografica) 1844-1852. Oct. **Notes** *Organization of the journal*: This is one of the more complicated botanical journals in its structure. The confusion engendered by the structural complication is exacerbated by the fact that a complete set of the journal is not known to us for certain; the FH copy may be complete. The following table summarizes what we have been able to understand and infer from the several partial runs we have studied. The journal was divided into two "years" (anno, anni), although publication took place over several years (1844 to 1852), with each "year" subdivided into two volumes. Each volume was issued in fascicles but some of these have not been seen and are indicated by enclosing fascicle numerals in brackets. Added to all this, the contents appeared in three parts, each with independent pagination: Parte prima (original research reports), Parte seconda (reviews and announcements of botanical works), and Parte terza (news and notes). Dates: The dates given below are not very meaningful but in some instances may be helpful. The covers often bear the year of publication, as the title pages do, but the two dates don't always agree. Some of the earlier fascicles have covers with month/year dates but since these usually indicate six-month periods, they are of limited value. Some of the dates from pages in the text are also given below when they seem to affect the interpretation of the title-page date. *Copies*: E, FI, FH, G, NY, USDA.
