Seringe, in a footnote on p. 167, announces the quarto volume which was still awaiting the plates by Heyland. #### Eponymy *Merciera* Alph. de Candolle (1830) is dedicated to Marie Philippe Mercier (1781-1831), French traveller and collector born in Martinique who lived in Geneva from 1822 until his death, friend of Seringe and the de Candolles.
