Lugd. 1743, practised in London 1744-1745, went to the West Indies (Barbados, Montserrat, Antigua, St. Christopher (St. Kitts), settling as a physician in Jamaica 1746, collected ib. 1746-1755, returned to England 1755, visited Montserrat and Antigua again ca. 1781, retired to Ireland, died in Rushbrook, County Mayo. **Abbreviated name**: *P.
