#### Herbarium and types
The Nuttall herbarium (5.750 species, acquired 1860) is at [[Collection BM|BM]]. However it would appear that up to the publication of the "Genera... in 1818 he kept few or no specimens for himself, presenting a complete series of his plants to the Academy of Natural Sciences ([[Collection PH|PH]]) so that there repose his early types" (Pennell 1936). Further Nuttall specimens are found in [[Collection CGE|CGE]], [[Collection DUKE|DUKE]], [[Collection DWC|DWC]], [[Collection E|E]], [[Collection F|F]], [[Collection FI|FI]], [[Collection G|G]], [[Collection GH|GH]], [[Collection K|K]], [[Collection LIV|LIV]], [[Collection MANCH|MANCH]], [[Collection MO|MO]], [[Collection NY|NY]], [[Collection OXF|OXF]].
