The annotated sales catalogues at [[Collection K|K]] and [[Collection BM|BM]] provide sometimes a key to the places where the various parts are now preserved. A detailed study of the herbarium and its dispersal was made by H. P. Miller. Considerable parts were acquired by BM such as important portions of the herbaria or collections of Pallas, Ruiz and Pavon, George Forster, Buchanan Hamilton, Martin (French Guiana). Delessert (now at [[Collection G|G]]) also acquired a substantial part of the herbarium. Lambert's correspondence with Hooker and others is at [[Collection K|K]]. *Ref*.: Lambert, A.
