Kolenati, Friedrich August Rudolph (1812-1864), Bohemian zoologist and botanist at the polytechnic institute of Brünn, travelled in Russia 1842-1845, founded the society "Lotos".

The second christian name is also given as "Anton"; for the year of birth we follow the transcription of the text on the tombstone as shown by the illustration in Nemec 1964, which mentions 12 Aug 1812 (not 1813) as the birth date. This tombstone was erected in 1867 (see also Melion (1866)).
