Würzburg 1833; at Jena 1835; travelled in the Kaukasus and Central Asia 1837-1838 and 1843-1844; from 1847 botanist ("Adjunkt") at the Berlin Botanical Garden. **Abbreviated name**: *K. Koch* \[standard form in IPNI: *K.Koch*\] #### Herbarium and types Koch's herbarium was acquired by Berlin ([[Collection B|B]]) in 1913 and was destroyed 1/2 March 1943. A number of duplicates is still extant, among them material collected by Koch himself.
