The dates for ed. 1 are those given on the verso of the title page. Wheeler has questioned the reliability of these dates but in the absence of proof to the contrary they should be accepted.
C.V. Morton received a letter from Jepson (3 Apr 1939) stating that the Manager of the Associated Students Store had verified that the parts were received and on sale on the dates specified. The parts were indeed not advertised. See also Heckard et al. (1967). Complimentary Copies of the parts as issued were sent to K, LE and the Library of Congress.
