Augsburg (chez Jean Elie Haid) 1787. *Note* \[by J.L. Heller who consulted a copy of this work in the Württembergische Landesbibliothek, Stuttgart on 4 August 1970 (with thanks to Dr. E.A. Walter)\]. The essential point about *Weinmannus redivivus* is that it contains no letterpress whatsoever. Even the title pages of the four volumes are impressions from a single plate so designed as to leave blank spaces after TOM. and *Tab*. The spaces were then filled in by hand: Tom. I. Tab. 1-275/II. 276-525. /III. 526-775/IV. 776-1025. Tome I also contains three blue plates (allegory of Flora, portr. Bieler, portr. Weinmann) just as in the completed German eds. The plates have been emended and explained by the denominations of the plants according to the system of Carl von Linné. The systematic index (see below) is usually credited to Johann Gessner (1709-1790). *Index to 1787 ed. of plates*: 1787. – Joa. Guil.
