Fries (1903; see also SO 1334), this was mainly the work of Linnaeus of whom an original manuscript "Caroli Linnaei Dissertatio de Planta Sceptro Carolino" is kept at the Univ. Libr., Uppsala with a note on the first leaf "I composed this dissertation in one day for 30 daler kopparmynt. For this another has acquired the glory" (transi. SO). – The plant is now called *Pedicularis Sceptrum-carolinum* L. (Sp. Pl. 608. 1753). The text is also included in Skrifter af Carl v. Linné 4(1): 243-256 \[-259\]. 1908.
