Normal School, Fredericton, New Brunswick 1878, lecturer in natural sciences, Queens Univ., Kingston, Ontario 1880-1891, Prof. of Bot. 1894-1908, LL.D., Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, died 11 Jan 1923.
