Irmscher moved his *Begonia* herbarium (with many loans from abroad) from Hamburg to Stuttgart-Hohenheim; after his death the herbarium went to [[Collection B|B]]B. The moss herbarium is at the Institut für Botanik, Universität Hohenheim (Stuttgart) (inf. B. Frenzel). Some types of South African mosses described by Irmscher are at [[Collection HBG|HBG]].
