Karst.* \[standard form in IPNI: *H.Karst.*\] #### Herbarium and types Hitchcock (List 2: 14) cites [[Collection LE|LE]] as the location of Karsten types. The location of K's own herbarium is unknown. Alphonse de Candolle (Phytogr.) cites Leningrad as the herbarium with a large set (2000) of Columbian plants collected by Karsten. Another important set is at [[Collection W|W]] (3594). It is not known whether this was the first set, and whether it really contains Karsten's types.
