Brongniart) 1834, Muséum natl. d'Histoire naturelle, Paris, Dr. en médecine 1832 Paris, sent on a government sponsored mission to Brazil 1838-1839, died 13 \[15?\] Jan 1842 shortly after moving to Montpellier. **Abbreviated name**: *Guillem.* \[standard form in IPNI: *Guill.*\] #### Note Guillemin and Joseph-Henri Leveillé (1796-1870) jointly are credited with coining the term "baside" (i.e. basidium) for the spore-bearing structure in Basidiomycetes. #### Herbarium and types The first set of Guillemin's own Brazilian collections is at [[Collection MJSD|MJSD]] (not [[Collection DI|DI]], as stated in TL-2/1) with the rest of his herb.
