(Suppl.)|second entry]] for this author ### Author Forsskål, Pehr (Peter) (1732-1763), Finnish born (Swedish parents) botanical traveller, pupil of Linnaeus, on the Danish expedition to Egypt and Arabia 1761-1763. **Abbreviated name**: *Forssk.* \[standard form in IPNI: *Forssk.*\] #### Herbarium and types Mainly at [[Collection C|C]] (1300 specimens) (available on IDC 2200), kept separate. This herbarium, however, does not contain all the type-specimens of the new taxa in the *Flora aegyptiaco-arabica*. Some of these are e.g. at [[Collection LD|LD]] in the Retz herbarium. Other specimens are at [[Collection B|B]], [[Collection BM|BM]], [[Collection DS|DS]], [[Collection P|P]]-JU, [[Collection LINN|LINN]], [[Collection S|S]], [[Collection SBT|SBT]] and at [[Collection UPS|UPS]] (in the Thunberg herbarium). — Vahl's *Symbolae botanicae* is based for the greater part on Forsskål material. — For an index to the herbarium at [[Collection C|C]] see Christensen (1917, 1922). *Ref*.: IH 1 (ed. 6): 358, 2: 203. - Christensen, Index to the Herbarium Forsskålii.
