We do not know who bought the herbarium. Wagenitz (1982) mentions no F.W. Weiss material for [[Collection GOET|GOET]]. Some F.W. Weiss material in [[Collection B|B]] (mainly destr.), [[Collection E|E]] (herb. Miller's *Illustratio*... Actually the family name was "Weisz" (with gothic script symbol for "sz"), regularly transliterated in Latin script as Weiss. See Grumman (1962) for details.
