Philippi, Federico (baptized Friedrich Heinrich Eunom) (1838-1910), Chilean botanist and entomologist of German origin (born in Napoli), son of R.A. Philippi, whom he succeeded in 1874 as professor of botany at Santiago; from 1897 also director of the Museo nacional (de Chile).
