Cordienne, Alexis-Joseph (1796-1826), French botanist and physician, born at Jussey (Haute-Saône) 1796, studied at first for lawyer, later medicine, studied botany with Thouin, de Jussieu and Desfontaines at Paris 1809 and 1813, settled at Dôle (Jura), died by accident at Sens (Yonne).
