The types of the *Monographie des Antirrhinées*, however, are in the herbaria consulted by him for that work, now mainly in [[Collection BM|BM]], [[Collection K|K]], [[Collection G|G]] and [[Collection P|P]]. The "monographie" was exemplary at its time because of the wide variety of collections studied, the morphological and teratological work and the geographical remarks. Chavannes was a pupil of A.
