It consists of 2400 folded sheets in which the plants are kept loose. Apart from plants collected by the Bauhins the herbarium probably contains plants collected by Burser and Clusius. A. P. de Candolle studied the herbarium in 1818: his determinations are entered in his copy of the *Pinax* at [[Collection G|G]]. – The Burser herbarium at [[Collection UPS|UPS]] is also of great importance for the interpretation of Bauhin.
