America 1887 and 1893, set up a pteridological herbarium of some 300.000 specimens, published, mainly on ferns, lavishly; member of the Institut de France. **Abbreviated name**: *Bonap.* \[standard form in IPNI: *Bonap.*\] #### Herbarium and types Pteridological herbarium at [[Collection P|P]], other cryptogams at [[Collection PC|PC]], phanerogam collections in [[Collection LY|LY]]. − Further material at [[Collection B|B]] (extant), [[Collection BAF|BAF]], [[Collection NY|NY]] (ca. 500), [[Collection TAN|TAN]]. − *Note*: The Bonaparte herbarium contained that of Georges Rouy, see TL-2/4: 946.
