\* Biasoletto, Bartolomeo \[Amadeo\] (1793-1858), Italian pharmacist and botanist, born at Dignano d'Istria as son of a farmer, educated by the local priest, pharmacy student with an apothecary at Dignano, practicing pharmacist at Trieste, later owner of the pharmacy All'Orsonero, studied with N.J. Jacquin at the University of Vienna 1812-1814, Dr. phil. Padua 1823, travelled in Istria, Dalmatia and Montenegro with August von Sachsen.
