The actual work of compiling was done by staff members. The names of the compilers of suppl. 2-6 are not mentioned in prefaces signed by directors, but no. 2 was compiled by Stephen Troyte Dunn (1868-1938) and in supplement 6 A. W. Hill mentions the role of Thomas Archibald Sprague (1877-1958) in compiling previous supplements. Numbers 7, 8 and 9 were compiled by Mary Letitia Green (1886-1978) and T. A. Sprague; for suppl. 9 the name of \[Veronica\] Mabel Irene Skan (1902-x) appears for the first time with that of Sabine Wilson (x-1959) in addition to that of Green and Sprague. No. 10 was compiled by Green (Mrs. T. A. Sprague) with Skan and Wilson, 11 by Skan and Wilson, 12 by Skan alone, 13 by Skan and Janet Eileen Hawkins (1931-x), 14 and 15 (and proof reading of 13) by Skan, Jean Lesley Mary Pinner (1932-x) and Thalia Adele Bence (1938-x). D. Meikle, to whom we are indebted for these details (in lit. 19 Aug 1977) adds that Sprague had supervisory control of the I.K. from Suppl. 4(1913) onwards till the publication of Suppl. 10 (1947). *Imprints*: all Oxford, at the Clarendon Press, or "e prelo Clarendoniano," except suppl. 1, which has "Oxford University Press." Suppl. 1 was originally published in Brussels (ex typis Alfred Castaigne); after Durand's death Oxford University Press acquired the unsold stock and issued it under its own imprint. *Index to generic names*: Rouleau, E., "*Guide to Index kewensis* and its supplements 1-14," Montreal 1970 (published by author).
