The sheets 20-38, occupied by de Jussieu's article, were published in 1831 and/or in 1832. Jussieu cites various works from 1831 on p. 304. In view of the delay in publication de Férussac published an abbreviated version containing the valid publication of all new names in his Bull. Sci. nat. géol. 23: 234-241 of Nov 1830 with the note: "Le retard qu' éprouve cette publication \[in Mém. vol. 19\], nous engage à ne pas attendre pour en rendre compte, que l'impression en soit entièrement terminée." The new names from Jussieu's memoir date therefore from the publication in Férussac's *Bulletin* of Nov 1830. It is possible that this *Bulletin* itself suffered a delay of some months in publication; the text mentions a space of time of over a year since the paper was read on 25 Jan 1830.
