François Plée. *Publ*.: 1811 (p. \[ii\]: 20 Jul 1811), p. \[i-ii\], \[1\]-12, *100 unnumbered plates* (uncol. copp. hand-coloured by authors). *Copies*: G (*40 pl.*), NY (*100 pl.*). – The New York copy has the original cover of parts 1-10 ("Herborisations"). The contents are given om the wrappers but these are incomplete. Fascicles 1-3 contained 10 plates each, and were published by Auguste and François Plée; parts 4-10 contained 5 plates each and were published by François Plée alone. The covers of the 11-17th parts are missing in the NY copy. With the three "double" parts 1-3, the 17 parts contained *100 plates* in all (ideal copy; NI mentions 104 pl., PR 99). The covers mention three issues: (1) with anatomical details in colour (NY); in full colour and in full colour on "papier grand raisin vélin". They were said to appear each month (from August 1811 onward). *Re-issue*: PR mentions a new publication of the first two parts (20 pl. plus initial text), Paris (Lequien) 1830, not seen by us. ##### n.8053.
